Dear Editor: Please stop relying on Netscape-specific commands in the desing of your site. This is making life painful for the evergrowing number of people who are actually using other browsers (or even just other VRML software). Netscape is only one af many browsers people are using to access the net, and I sure would want to use it. But it's people like you, thinking that since YOU use it then everybody should, who cripple the net with web pages that can't be easily accessed. Like using Netscape-specific Java expressions... Netscape didn't come out with Java, SUN did and they were the first to provide a Java browser (way before Netscape released betas of Navigator 2.0) I'm a proud user of Microsoft's Internet Explorer wich provide VRML capabilities (without using Netscape's plug-in). In fact, it had VRML capabilities since version 2.0 (While Netscape 1.1 was still hot). The web belongs to the surfers, not Netscape corp. Please act as so, and build your pages accordingly. Regards, Dear Editor: Hi, I wrote you yesterday regarding some problems with your site. Now I see -- I only got a partial scroll bar because you have added a second on below it. Anyway, comments. Why did you put the second one on there? Like a frame without the frame. very confusing. I also am getting tired of little scroll bar areas that are difficult to read. next why did you add a window with scroll bars in the middle of your page with information. I can't resize, yet can't read the whole thing without scrolling up/down/sideways. Some people are trying to be so techy cool, but forget we have to read the information on a standard monitor. With all the gadgets, frames, and gizmos -- there doesn't leave much room for real content viewing. Thanks for listening, Sherri. Editor: Thanks for your comments. Based on userfeed back, we have, once again, redone our interface so it is less reliant on JavaScript, frames, and, yes, VRML. We hope that this more simplified version makes your browser less likely to crash so that you will spend more time on our site. Please keep on letting us now how you like our interface and we'll do our best to make it fit your needs. Kudos from Abroad Dear Editor: Hello, I'm an student from South America. I think that your web is very interesting because I'm interested in VRML. Can you send me information about the language and the VRML applications. Thank you, Editor: One of the benefits of subscribing to our magazine is that we will send you information on VRML not found in the site. In addition, we plan to bring you more articles about basic programming.
