RESPECT!

Yo !

At first IŽd like to give you a big up respect. Your Site is my main information source about vrml. The style and shortness of the articles gives me fast and reliable information.

By the way: I am an german "world-builder" and here in germany are still a lot of pioneer jobs to do...even in the common business of internet..but it is growing (like everywhere). :-)

But I have also an question: in your latest newsmail you talked about an additional parameter for www-anchors. i want to open a new window. how can i use the html-tag "_blank" ?

Thank you in advance,

Mark Lambertz

Danke Schon, Mark! Subscribers receive World-building tips in monthly e-mails we send out. The additional field is the parameters field of the Anchor node, only in VRML 2.0. The parameters field lets you put in any things that you'd normally have in an A HREF HTML tag, such as target=_blank, so doing something like Anchor { parameters "target=_blank" } with appropriate url field and geometry will open a new window.

WorldMovers

Where is the scoop on what happened at WorldMovers???? I can not find anything anywhere on the net about it!! Was it a complete flop? I was expecting hordes of stuff about it...but have seen absolutly nothing...for all I know, it may have not happened at all.

Thanks

Michael P. McCutcheon

Note: February's WorldInfo News section of VRMLSite featured many announcements released at WorldMovers. Check out Appearance this month for a gallery of photos from WorldMovers -- and look forward to photos from VRML 97 coming soon.

Corporate VRML

I think Eric's piece on corporate VRML was very informative and projected a bright, optimistic foresight of the technology.

There has definitely got to be something wrong with me when I ROTFL at stuff like this. ;-)
